Get ready to jingle all the way into the festive season as Southern Downs Regional Council invites the community to two magical nights of music, laughter and Christmas cheer at this year’s much-loved Carols in the Park events!
First up, Stanthorpe Carols in the Park will light up Weeroona Park on Friday 12 December 2025 with food stalls and a visit from Santa from 6pm and live carols from 6.30pm.
Then the festive fun continues with Warwick Christmas in the Park at Leslie Park on Sunday 14 December 2025 with family-friendly entertainment and delicious eats from 5.30pm and live carols from 6.30pm.
Southern Downs Mayor Melissa Hamilton said the Carols in the Park events are a highlight of the Southern Downs festive calendar.
“Gathering under the stars with family and friends to sing carols and celebrate is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season,” Mayor Hamilton said.
“With festive lights, local performers and plenty of Christmas magic, Carols in the Park is a celebration of the spirit and unity in our community, and I encourage everyone to come along and make some merry memories.”
Council’s Portfolio Councillor for Inspired Communities Cr Morwenna Harslett echoed the excitement, saying the events are also a wonderful way to wrap up the year.
“Carols in the Park are a celebration of community spirit, where laughter, music and togetherness take centre stage,” Cr Harslett said.
“These nights remind us that the best gifts of the season are connection, joy and shared celebration.
“Both events are free, so bring your picnic blankets, your best singing voice and your Christmas spirit!”
And to top off the festive fun, Santa will be making a pit stop at both events ahead of his hectic Christmas Eve schedule, bringing festive cheer and a hearty “Ho Ho Ho!”
