Warwick won the junior final by one goal to win the A-grade competition at the State Polocrosse Championships at Tansey. They won the Augie Cavanagh Shield. Piper Mortimer was Player of the Match and Eloise Brice champion junior girl player. Warwick also won D grade with Courtney Bowd best horse and rider.
The Fraser Trophy for champion horse was won by Jesse Walsh from the Gold Coast riding Berragoon Hummer.
Gold Coast defeated Tansey in the men’s final to win their first State championship in 38 years. Warwick went down to Tansey in one semi and Gold Coast beat Tambo in the other semi.
Tara beat Tansey in the ladies final to win back-to-back titles.
The championships attracted 48 teams to the Tansey complex which has been upgraded significantly since a major flood in the South Burnett.
